Itinerary

DAY 1

  • Our journey to Meghalaya begins with a meet and greet with ED trip lead at Guwahati Airport around 10:30 AM, as we set off toward Cherrapunjee—one of the rainiest places on Earth. Let the ED trip lead take you from the noisy hum of the city to the misty calm of Meghalaya’s countryside.
  • Stop along the way to sample seasonal local fruits from charming roadside stalls, often run by the warm and welcoming Kongs (women of Meghalaya).
  • Unwind with a laid-back evening, sharing stories with new friends around the bonfire.
  • If time and weather are on our side, we’ll try to catch a beautiful sunset from one of our favourite hidden spots.

DAY 2

  • What better way to start your Meghalaya group trip exploration other than chasing the waters of Meghalaya.
  • After a wholesome breakfast, join our local expert to explore handpicked trails featuring some of the best famous and offbeat waterfalls and natural pools of Cherrapunjee aka Sohra.
  • Take a refreshing swim at secret spots known only to locals—perfect for relaxing and soaking in nature, setup a picnic if you will.
  • As the sun sets, we’ll head to one of our favorite viewpoints to watch the sky light up in stunning colors. (If the weather favours)
  • Evening is yours to relax however you like—whether it’s by a bonfire, jamming with new friends, or simply unwinding under the stars.

DAY 3

  • Kick off the day with a thrilling 3-hour caving adventure led by our local experts— think epic stalactites, narrow passages and unique geological formations.
  • Refuel with a packed lunch in a stunning outdoor spot, surrounded by Meghalaya’s lush, green beauty.
  • Road trip to Pynter village (about 2 hours)—a scenic Khasi village known for its soul-stirring indigenous music and rolling hills.
  • Feel the vibe as local musicians welcome us with traditional beats and instruments. Dance, clap, or just vibe with the tunes!

  • Wrap up the day with happy hearts, unforgettable music, and a cozy stay for the night. Evening free to chill.

DAY 4

  • Today,we explore one of the highlights of our Meghalaya group tour, walking through villages of Meghalaya and living root bridges—natural wonders grown over generations, each telling stories as old as the tribes of these hills.
  • Join our local expert on an offbeat trail to uncover 3-4 of these stunning bridges and a curated walk in the cleanest village of Asia.
  • Savor a curated forest lunch, unwind and meditate to the sounds of the forest if you will.
  • Drive to Shnongpdeng village in Dawki for a night of camping by the river.
  • Enjoy bonfire and barbeque (on request) at night.

DAY 5

  • Post-breakfast adventure begins as we head to Shnongpdeng, home to the insanely clear Umngot River.
  • Hop on a country boat and cruise upstream into peaceful, picture-perfect surroundings.
  • Time for hiking and canyoneering! We trek to Amkoi—a secret spot with funky rock formations and cliff-jumping into turquoise waters. Total thrill!
  • Optional ziplining, snorkelling and kayaking if you are feeling more adventerous.
  • Drive to the rock capital after lunch and water adventures.
  • Explore cafes, restaurants and live music scene in Shillong. A well deserved celebration on the last night of the trip.

Bid Adieu!

  • After breakfast, we’ll begin our drive back to Guwahati airport
  • As our Meghalaya group trip comes to an end, we’d love to have you back for more unforgettable experiences across North East India — until next time!

Arrival at Guwahati airport on Day 1 by 10:30 am at the latest

Departure from Guwahati airport as well. It is recommended to book an evening flight after 6 pm just to be on the safe side. In case the travellers want to fly out next day (which is great), stay can be arranged in Guwahati for them on request.

We will be staying in a mix of beautiful home stays, hotels and resorts. For group trips we stay in basic highly rated properties. You shouldn’t expect any kind of luxury but all essential things you may need is available and the properties are super clean, hygienic and comfortable. All these properties have been carefully been vetted by team ED.

Please note that some of the properties may have different category of rooms and the allocation will be done randomly.

If you wish to stay at a more luxurious property of your choice or ED’s recommendation, we recommend you enquire with us for a custom made trip.

All properties have a breakfast menu you can choose from. Cost of all breakfasts are included in your package. Breakfast in most places serve simple things like poori sabji, fresh sandwiches, toasted bread butter jam, Eggs (how ever you want), tea/coffee etc.

Included lunches will be mostly home cooked food like Rice, dal, few local chutneys, vegetable curry, meat, salad and papad. Places like Shillong, Cherrapunjee and Pongtung have multi cuisine restaurants.

Veg/Jain food is available in our tours on request.

If you have dietary restrictions, do let us know in advance and we promise to take care of you.

Major expense is the to and fro Flight to the starting and ending point of the trip.

Other expenses during the trip is mostly the meals that aren’t included which will cost you not more than Rs 300 per meal, alcohol and recreational expenses and shopping expenses.

A total of 5,000 cash per head should cover the trip very easily.

Your primary day of water activities will be at Mawlyngbna. Unless there is torrential rain, the activities will go on as it is.

In the case of heavy rainfall, we will have an alternate plan for the day and the guide will take a call based on the activities open
