6
Days
Whether you’re hiking, jamming by the bonfire, or watching petals fall under a glowing sky, this group tour offers not just a destination — but a story you’ll want to relive again and again.
Itinerary
DAY 1
- Our journey begins with a meet and greet at Guwahati Airport around 10:30 AM, before we head toward the misty hills of Cherrapunjee, leaving the city noise behind.
- En route, we pause to sample seasonal fruits — sweet pineapples, Khasi mandarins, and more — from local roadside stalls run by the ever-smiling Kongs, the women of Meghalaya known for their warmth and hospitality.
- Upon arrival, settle into your stay and ease into the pace of the hills. The evening is all about slowing down, sharing stories, and connecting with fellow travellers, with a cozy bonfire to wrap up the day.
- If time and weather allow, we’ll chase a hidden sunset at one of our favourite secret spots.
- This is just the beginning. In the days ahead, we’ll journey deeper into waterfalls, cliffs, and clear rivers — all building up to the grand finale: the Shillong Cherry Blossom Festival, a magical celebration where the city turns pink with blooms, music, lights, and joy.
DAY 2
- What better way to kick off your Meghalaya group tour journey than by chasing waterfalls and discovering hidden pools in the lush landscapes of Sohra (Cherrapunjee)?
- After a hearty breakfast, join our local expert to explore a trail that blends famous waterfalls with offbeat natural gems, far from the usual crowds.
- Along the way, take time to swim in secluded pools, relax on smooth rocks, or even enjoy a picnic surrounded by nature’s calm — perfect for a slow, soul-refreshing afternoon.
- If weather allows, we’ll wrap up the day at a scenic viewpoint, where the sky transforms into a canvas of colours as the sun sets behind the hills.
- The evening is yours — whether you’re in the mood for a bonfire jam session, quiet conversations, or just lying back and stargazing in the cool mountain air.
DAY 3
- Today is all about exploring one of the most iconic experiences of your Meghalaya group tour — a journey through lush forest trails, traditional villages, and the legendary living root bridges that have connected these hills for generations.
- Guided by our local expert, we’ll take an offbeat route that weaves through 3–4 of these awe-inspiring bridges, including a curated walk through Asia’s cleanest village, known for its spotless lanes, flower-lined paths, and community-driven spirit.
- Midway, pause for a curated forest lunch — simple, soulful, and best enjoyed surrounded by birdsong and greenery. Feel free to slow down, meditate, journal, or simply breathe it all in.
- As the day winds down, gather for a special cultural showcase — a live performance blending traditional Khasi folk music with a modern twist, a fitting reminder of how the old and new coexist beautifully in the hills of Meghalaya.
DAY 4
- After breakfast, the adventure kicks off with a scenic drive to Shnongpdeng, famed for the crystal-clear waters of the Umngot River.
- Glide upstream in a traditional wooden boat, soaking in the surreal beauty of the emerald river and its untouched surroundings.
- Next up: a thrilling hike and canyoneering experience to a hidden natural playground with unique rock formations, turquoise pools, and cliff-jumping spots — pure adrenaline and awe!
- Enjoy a relaxed riverside break to refuel and take in the peace before heading back to Shnongpdeng.
- Optional activities like ziplining, snorkelling, and kayaking are available for those wanting to push the adventure a bit further.
- Post-lunch, we head to Shillong, the vibrant “Rock Capital of India.”
- Evening Highlight: Get swept up in the magic of the Shillong Cherry Blossom Festival — an annual spectacle where the city comes alive in hues of pink and white. Stroll under canopies of blooming cherry trees, explore vibrant food and craft stalls, enjoy art installations, and groove to live performances by indie bands and regional artists. With fairy lights strung across open spaces and festive energy in the air, it’s the perfect grand finale to your Northeast adventure.
DAY 5
- After a hearty breakfast, we set out to explore one of Meghalaya’s most awe-inspiring landscapes — the Laitlum Canyons. Perched high in the East Khasi Hills, this lesser-known gem offers breathtaking views of mist-laced valleys, dramatic cliffs, and endless skies. It’s the kind of place that makes you pause, breathe deep, and take it all in.
- Soak in the silence, hike a little, sit by the edge with a cup of chai — it’s your time in the clouds.
- Head back to Shillong by afternoon, with time to rest, freshen up, or stroll through the local markets.
- As dusk falls, get ready for the highlight of the evening — the Shillong Cherry Blossom Festival.
- Watch the city come alive with music, colour, and celebration under canopies of pink-blossomed trees. Explore vibrant food stalls, art corners, and live performances, all set against the backdrop of blooming cherry trees glowing under fairy lights.
- Whether you’re dancing to indie tunes, sipping local tea, or just wandering under the blossoms, tonight is about celebration, connection, and wonder
Bid Adieu!
- After breakfast, it’s time to pack up and say goodbye to the hills that have been home for the past few days.
- We begin our drive back to Guwahati Airport, carrying with us misty memories, riverside laughter, cliffside views, and the soft pink glow of cherry blossoms.
- As the winding roads slowly give way to the city hum, take one last look at the hills — and maybe one last group selfie.
- Drop-offs at Guwahati Airport will be timed for flights departing after 4 PM, ensuring a smooth and stress-free journey home.
- With full hearts and tired feet, we bid each other goodbye — or maybe just see you again soon.
