After scrumptious breakfast, we drive to a small quaint village, Rangthillyang. From here we walk a trail which was used by the locals to trade and barter from as far as bangladesh. In this trail, we will cross 5 root bridges among which are both the tallest and the highest one of the state. Total hike time is about 5 hours in rocky steps kind of terrain. We will hardly see any human on this trail. Our guide today is the member of the community who work towards building and sustaining root bridges in Meghalaya. We will hear first hand stories of how this ingenious bio-engineering wonder is invalueable to the locals. After the trek we will stop at some villager’s house for snacks and head back to Sohra.
