Sales (Travel Advisor)

Job description

The candidate for this position will excel at creating and closing new opportunities. By using a consultative approach to selling, this person will use their expertise to identify and qualify leads, leading to sales opportunities with both new and existing customers.
Candidate should preferably be from the North East Of India.

Role Description

This is a full-time role for a Sales(Travel Advisor), at Experience Destination, which includes some experience in sales. The Travel Advisor will be responsible for increasing revenues through sales, assisting clients in planning and organising their travel arrangements and building systems to ensure exceptional customer service and customer satisfaction. The role will be based in Guwahati, with the flexibility for some remote work.

Few things that you'll do are:

  • Be in touch with the leads and suggest experiences based on the guest’s preferences and coordinate with stakeholders to make tour itineraries with costing.
  • Follow ups and re-edits of itinerary as and when required.
  • Relationship building with local vendors like homestay owners, hotel managers, cab drivers, guides etc.
  • Build systems to automate lead generation to booking processes.
  • Increase revenue for the firm.
  • Build a destination encyclopedia.

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of experience working in sales or tourism industry would be preferred.
  • Should be extremely comfortable working in Microsoft Excel, Canva, Maps and have Good presentation and communication skills.
  • Excellent English and Hindi speaking skills.
  • Knowledge of local attractions and destinations in North-East India will be a bonus.
  • Proficiency in local languages is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Tourism, or a related field will be preferred.
