Job description
This is a position for a travel advisor who would be responsible for increasing revenue through sales, assisting clients in planning and organising tailored travel itineraries, identifying and qualifying leads that lead to sales opportunities. They would be responsible for ensuring exceptional customer service and customer satisfaction. The role will be full time and based in Guwahati, with the flexibility for some remote work.
The candidate should preferably be from the North East Of India.
Few things that you'll do are:
- Be in touch with the leads and suggest experiences based on the guest’s preferences and make tailored tour itineraries.
- Follow ups and re-edits of itinerary as and when required.
- Relationship building with local vendors like homestay owners, hotel managers, cab drivers, guides etc.
- Build systems to automate lead generation to booking processes.
- Increase revenue for the firm.
- Build and maintain a destination encyclopedia.
Qualifications/Prerequisite
- 1-2 years of experience working in the sales or tourism industry would be preferred.
- Should be extremely comfortable working in Microsoft Excel, Canva, Maps and have Good presentation and communication skills.
- Excellent English and Hindi speaking skills.
- Knowledge of local attractions and destinations in North-East India will be a bonus.
- Proficiency in local languages is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Tourism, or a related field will be preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Fixed pay: ₹3,00,000 – ₹4,20,000.00 per year
Commissions: INR 2,00,000 – INR 4,00,000 per year, based on performance.
