Itinerary

DAY 1
- Meet and greet at Guwahati airport let ED trip lead take you from chaotic urban to soothing countryside of Meghalayan village - Mawsynram
- Stop along the way to sample seasonal local fruits from charming roadside stalls, often run by the warm and welcoming Kongs (women of Meghalaya).
- Unwind with a laid-back evening, sharing stories with new friends over a delicious homecooked local dinner.

DAY 2
- Get ready to kick off your monsoon Meghalaya adventure with water, wild fun, and wonder.
- Start your day with a short morning hike to one of the region’s most unique and Instagram-worthy landscapes, guided by our ED local expert. Then, dive headfirst into the thrill of river canyoning—a beginner-friendly adventure involving trekking, swimming, jumping, sliding, and navigating through breathtaking river gorges. No swimming skills needed—just a sense of play and a willingness to get soaked! (One of the top highlights of our Meghalaya group trip).
- We won’t give too much away—some things are better felt than told. Just know, today’s all about unleashing your inner child.
- After the adrenaline rush, switch gears with a leisurely kayaking session on a serene reservoir, followed by a heartwarming, homecooked lunch. And yes, vegetarians and Jains—we’ve got delicious options for you too.

DAY 3
- After yesterday's adventure, today offers a gentler rhythm.
- Wander through the scenic landscapes of Cherrapunjee with our local guide, who’ll take you to handpicked spots—quiet caves, flowing waterfalls, natural pools, and ancient root bridges.
- Today is a day to connect with nature without the push, ending on a high with a breathtaking sunset from a viewpoint only the locals know, a special highlight of this Meghalaya group tour.

- Today, we explore villages of Meghalaya and living root bridges—natural wonders grown over generations, each telling stories as old as the tribes of these hills.
- Join our local expert on an offbeat trail to uncover 3-4 of these stunning bridges and a curated walk in the cleanest village of Asia.
- Savor a curated forest lunch and unwind with a meditate to the sounds of the forest if you will.

- Today we explore some stunning waterfalls in the Jaintia hills region and head to Shillong in the second half.
- A relaxed evening at a local pub, café, or restaurant, of your choice.
- Since Shillong is known as the Rock Capital of India, we will put the last night of our Megalaya group tour to good use and and explore the bars and restaurants of Shillong and hopefully catch some live music.

DAY 6
Bid Adieu!
- As this Meghalaya group tour comes to an end, we bid you goodbye with sunrise views at Laitlum Canyons, followed by breakfast. We then head to Guwahati airport for drop-off.

Arrival at Guwahati airport on Day 1 10:30 am latest
Departure from Guwahati airport as well. It is recommended to book an evening flight after 6 pm just to be on the safe side. In case the travellers want to fly out next day (which is great), stay can be arranged in Guwahati for them on request.
We will be staying in a mix of beautiful home stays, hotels and resorts. For group trips we stay in basic highly rated properties*. You shouldn’t expect any kind of luxury but all essential things you may need is available and the properties are super clean, hygienic and comfortable. All these properties have been carefully been vetted by team ED.
Please note that some of the properties may have different category of rooms and the allocation will be done randomly.
*If you wish to stay at a more luxurious property of your choice or ED’s recommendation, we recommend you enquire with us for a custom made trip.
All properties have a breakfast menu you can choose from. Cost of all breakfasts are included in your package. Breakfast in most places serve simple things like poori sabji, fresh sandwiches, toasted bread butter jam, Eggs (how ever you want), tea/coffee etc.
Included lunches will be mostly home cooked food like Rice, dal, few local chutneys, vegetable curry, meat, salad and papad. Places like Shillong, Cherrapunjee and Pongtung have multi cuisine restaurants.
Veg/Jain food is available in our tours on request.
If you have dietary restrictions, do let us know in advance and we promise to take care of you.
Major expense is the to and fro Flight to the starting and ending point of the trip.
Other expenses during the trip is mostly the meals that aren’t included which will cost you not more than Rs 300 per meal, alcohol and recreational expenses and shopping expenses.
A total of 5,000 cash per head should cover the trip very easily.
Couples will be allotted same rooms. If you are a solo traveller, you’ll be paired with another traveller of the same gender.
We will give you a detailed list of things to carry after you signup.
Your primary day of water activities will be at Mawlyngbna. Unless there is torrential rain, the activities will go on as it is.
In the case of heavy rainfall, we will have an alternate plan for the day and the guide will take a call based on the activities open

Cancellation Policy
If it becomes necessary to cancel your booking, you must notify us immediately by mail on business@experiencedestination.com. Cancellation will take effect only after we receive the email from you. Following is the cancellation policy:
- 45 days prior to departure – 90% total amount or trip deposit will be refunded.
- 31 to 44 days prior to departure – 70% total amount. No refund on trip deposit.
- 11 to 30 days prior to departure – 20% of total amount. No refund on trip deposit.
- 0 to 10 days prior to departure – no refund.
Please note that the above quoted amounts may change without notice. If the tour/itinerary price is quoted as a package, no partial refunds or credit will be given for services not used. Experience Destination reserves the right to cancel any trip or booking in which case participants will be given a refund in full. However, you will not be entitled to make any further claim for any injury, loss, expenses or damage (either direct or consequential) or for any loss of time or inconvenience which may result from such cancellation (including but not limited to any travel reservation, visa, passport and vaccination charges, or departure, gear purchases, airport and airline taxes). We strongly recommend that you book refundable tickets. We also recommend that you obtain travel insurance upon booking.
Terms and Condition
The company shall not be liable for damages/charges incurred by travellers including but not limited to the following reasons if applied:
- Natural Disaster, war, civil unrest, pandemic, alteration or cancellation of tour itinerary due to such causes.
- Accidents during transportation or accommodation, damages by fire.
- Orders of either Indian Govt or immigration regulations, isolation resulting from infectious diseases and tour itinerary alterations due to such causes.
- Accidents occur during travels or activities.
- Food Poisoning.
- Theft.
